They say that if you bring your children into the kitchen to cook with you they will be more likely to eat what they are cooking. Although, it doesn't hurt that we were making Snickerdoodle cookies...what could be better than buttery sugar cookies rolled around in cinnamon sugar?!

There are VERY few things I like about winters in the Midwest. But one thing I absolutely love is when dense fog rolls in while the temp is still below freezing...the fog wraps itself around trees, bushes, anything you can think of, and gets in every little nook and cranny. When you look at it from far away it looks like some shimmery silver web has surrounded everything...it's magical looking really! When you come up closer, the fog creates these amazing ice crystals on everything. It's CRAZY! They stick straight out like metal reaching for a magnet. Nature amazes me on a daily basis...

Magic Eraser is my hero...

Do you know that Mr. Clean Magic Eraser removes Sharpee from computer monitors? I didn't. But I do now...

My new creation

It's the perfect remedy on a dreary MN winter day! And I made it! Who knew...

We sure have been having fun at the pumpkin patch! Noah is having a ball getting out there and talking to all the Roper Pumpkin Patch patrons! He was having a swell time last week playing with my camera and taking pics. I'm so proud...

Happy Autumn

Homegrown pumpkins anyone? My relatives have a great pumpkin patch that they started this year. They've got LOADS of pumpkins, decorative gourds, squash, melons, maters, peppers. (about 18 acres I think) I even got to get down and dirty and help out in the fields a bit! Super fun! I can't wait to carve some crazy stuff into those guys...and I'm gettin some PIE pumkins, too! I see lots of pumkin pies, loaves, and muffins in my (and your!) future!
